This year's Systems in the City Awards Ceremony was presented in front of 200 Stockbrokers, Fund Managers and Investment Banks at The House of Lords on the evening of 3rd April 2007.

Baroness Goudie of Roundwood hosted the presentation ceremony, which was exclusively sponsored by CMC Markets.

After the guests were formally presented to Baroness Goudie, Stephen Pinner and Peter Cruddas, Chairman & Chief Executive of CMC Markets, Stephen Pinner addressed the guests and detailed the format of the evening.

Stephen thanked Barness Goudie for hosting the presentation, and thanked Peter Cruddas for sponsoring the event and for donating a Tag Heuer wristwatch for a prize draw.

Stephen continued by informing the guests that Systems in the City 2007 was providing support for the Piggy Bank Kids Charity, of which Baroness Goudie is a Trustee.

Peter Cruddas replied to Stephen's introduction by saying he was pleased to support the Awards Ceremony, particularly as they acknowledge excellence with systems. He stated that CMC Markets recognise the value of efficient systems and have invested £100 million in ensuring state of the art applications for their rapidly expanding global client base.
